For DM (Diabetes Mellitus) patients using insulin, or an insulin secretagogue (a medication that stimulates insulin production), hypoglycemia (low BG, or Blood Glucose, aka blood sugar) is a frequent issue; for other DM patients, it is usually less common, but still a possibility. In any event, when BG is low – milk with honey will raise it very fast; milk itself contains the disaccharide lactose, while honey is loaded (about 80%) with several other sugars. Drinking this solution will raise BG levels very quickly if you’re BG is low; otherwise, it’s a poor choice
